I was commissioned out of California for this piece. The wife was wanting to have this painting of her husband's late dog as a surprise for their anniversary. She sent this striking photo of her husband's dog, Hadid. Seeing a Saluki on a sand dune only seems fitting for this breed. When it was complete, the woman was thrilled as she knew Hadid had been one of her husband's favorite dogs. The present was given to her husband and he was ecstatic about the painting. There was only one problem....this painting was of his late dog Ziggy and NOT Hadid. He loved Ziggy too, so all was good. Needless to say, I am painting more paintings for this family and hopefully will finally get to paint Hadid.
